Roger Ebert

Editor-in-Chief

Roger Ebert is the Editor-in-Chief of Ebert Digital where he sets the content strategy and vision, identifies and nurtures talented writers and writes film reviews and commentary unlike anybody else.

Roger Ebert became film critic of the Chicago Sun-Times in 1967. He is the only film critic with a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame and was named honorary life member of the Directors' Guild of America. He won the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Screenwriters' Guild, and honorary degrees from the American Film Institute and the University of Colorado at Boulder. Since 1989 he has hosted Ebertfest, a film festival at the Virginia Theater in Champaign-Urbana. From 1975 until 2006 he, Gene Siskel and Richard Roeper co-hosted a weekly movie review program on national TV. He was Lecturer on Film for the University of Chicago extension program from 1970 until 2006, and recorded shot-by-shot commentaries for the DVDs of "Citizen Kane," "Casablanca," "Floating Weeds" and "Dark City," and has written over 20 books.

Chaz Ebert

Chaz is the Publisher of Ebert Digital where she helps define and execute the content strategy. She is responsible for ensuring that the content and business sides of the organization work together in concert, and is extensively involved in product development.

In addition to her role with Ebert Digital, Chaz is the Executive Producer of "Ebert Presents At The Movies" and has contributed to the show on several occasions, including her reports from the Cannes film festival, and appearance in Beyond The Balcony. Chaz is also the President of Ebert Productions and Vice President of The Ebert Company, managing print publishing, television production, public speaking engagements, and organizing the annual Ebertfest film festival. Prior to working for the Ebert Company, she was a practicing civil rights attorney, and was named Lawyer of the Year by the Constitutional Rights Foundation.

Chaz is a philanthropist whose civic and community passion include an interest in programs for children and families that concentrate on education and the arts. She is a Life Trustee of the Art Institute and serves on the boards of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, After School Matters, and the honorary board of Family Focus.
